Sevinc is the chef-owner of the gourmet restaurant Sogan Sarmisak (Onion Garlic) in the picturesque seaside village of Gumusluk, near Bodrum, Turkey. Having grown up with the rich culinary traditions of Turkish cuisine and her mother’s amazing cooking, Sevinc spent many years in Switzerland running her catering business and teaching Turkish cookery. She then went back to Turkey to open her own restaurant which is now loved by Turkey’s ‘foodies’. Sevinc has been teaching Turkish cookery in England for some years with recipes dating back to her great-grandmother’s traditional cooking. She is determined to pass on these skills to everyone who is interested. Sevinc is a member of Slow Food Bodrum and a firm believer in wholesome food; she uses only cold-pressed olive oil or butter and the freshest of ingredients in her cooking.
