Harborne Food School Welcome to Harborne Food School. We offer cookery classes, professional chef demonstrations and unique food experiences in our beautifully designed cookery school within the Grade II listed Clock Tower building on Harborne High Street, Birmingham. Our facilities are ideal for cooking classes, cooking demonstrations, food focus groups, food related training, private parties, private dining, team building and corporate events.

Vegetarian Mexican? Some might find that difficult to believe. Yet, in Dianna Kennedy’s seminal book, ‘The Art of Mexican Cooking’, many of the recipes happen to be vegetarian. The session will kick off with preparation of a typical Mexican brunch, ‘huevos rancheros’ or ranch eggs simply described as eggs over tortilla served with salsa ranchera.

In the afternoon you will learn to prepare a variety of ‘antojitos’ (streetfood) literally translated into ‘little cravings’.

Sample street food Menu
Tacos and a range of toppings
Tamales – a steamed dough made from corn filled with vegetables, beans or salsa
Tlayudas – an Oaxacan ‘pizza’
A sweet treat such as chocholate chilli torte or churros

Mezcal and Tequilla will be offered along with other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options.
