Harborne Food School Welcome to Harborne Food School. We offer cookery classes, professional chef demonstrations and unique food experiences in our beautifully designed cookery school within the Grade II listed Clock Tower building on Harborne High Street, Birmingham. Our facilities are ideal for cooking classes, cooking demonstrations, food focus groups, food related training, private parties, private dining, team building and corporate events.

Michelin starred Chef Tutor, Les Rennie, says  it isn’t necessary to use pasta making equipment to prepare fresh pasta. In this class you will prepare fresh pasta, pasta fillings and sauces. Skills covered and sample menu are provided below. The session will end with a meal of the food prepared and glass of Italian wine, beer or non-alcoholic equivalent.

Sample menu

  • Fresh homemade egg pasta
  • Fresh and dried homemade tagliatelle and spaghetti pasta
  • Filled and shaped pasta such as homemade ravioli and tortellini (without moulds)
  • Field mushroom, ricotta and rocket filling
  • Fresh basil pesto the best with shaved pistachios
  • Homemade Focaccia
