You will prepare a variety of dishes from Chef Norman’s best-selling cookbook, Amazing Malaysian. Ken Hom describes this book as ‘mouthwatering – the definitive book on Malaysian cookery’ and a national paper added that the book is an ‘exhaustive, elegant and deeply personal guide to one of the greatest food cultures on Earth'.

- Chicken Murtabak -minced chicken cooked with spices, egg and potatoes, then wrapped in a pastry and lightly fried until golden brown and crisply.
- Beef Rendang Tok Perak - a rich and aromatic beef dry curry cooked with Malaysian herbs and spices. You will learn to prepare the kerisik (toasted coconut) which is a key ingredient for authentic beef rendang.
- Steamed Sea Bass With Lemongrass & Ginger - a light and flavoursome dish of steamed sea bass fillet served with a sauce made of ginger, lemongrass, oyster sauce and lime juice. You will learn to present this restaurant style.
- Vegetable & Lentil Dhal Curry – Norman will demonstrate this rich lentil dhal curry with aubergine, carrot, fine beans, potato and green chilli.
- Coconut Rice - Norman will demonstrate how to prepare a fluffy coconut rice cooked with herbs and spices. This is a perfect dish to serve with Beef Rendang
The session will include lunch and a final meal of the food prepared accompanied by an optional glass of wine. Participants can purchase a signed copy of Norman’s book.
