Welcome to Harborne Food School. We offer cookery classes, professional chef demonstrations and unique food experiences in our beautifully designed cookery school within the Grade II listed Clock Tower building on Harborne High Street, Birmingham. Our facilities are ideal for cooking classes, cooking demonstrations, food focus groups, food related training, private parties, private dining, team building and corporate events.

Chef Tutor Charlotte Pike is an award winning ‘free-from’ baker and cook and leads a hands-on cooking classes exploring innovative gluten free recipes. Sample recipes include Middle Eastern chicken with hazelnuts, honey & saffron with cauliflower couscous, sweet potato and red rice salad with lime & coriander dressing and gluten free chocolate cake.

Refreshments/treats are served on arrival and the session ends with a three course meal or buffet of the food prepared.

During this full-day masterclass Tim will cover all the skills you need to buy and cook fish to perfection including filleting, gutting, cleaning, skinning, seasoning and scaling. The day starts with an introduction to sustainable fisheries over morning refreshments.

Advanced Bread Baking

This class has been designed for people who have already taken our beginners bread baking or confident home bakers who want to develop their skills further. You’ll prepare sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia and also work with two types of sweet dough preparing Scandinavian cinnamon buns and finishing with traditional sweet brioche.
