At our Mexican and Brazilian cooking class, participants requested more Latin American cooking experiences. So Charlotte has come up with a menu inspired by the flavours of Central and South America. In this class you will learn to prepare
- Empanadas – a stuffed & fried pastry often using minced meat but we will also adapt for vegetarians
- Tlyaudas – a ‘Mexican Pizza’/flat bread covered with refried beans. Oaxaca cheese, salad, salsa and additional toppings like chorizo, chicken and pork
- Ceviche – a seafood dish popular in coastal regions. Raw fish cured in citrus juices. It is all about the citrus juices and if you are vegetarians we can adapt this recipe by replacing the fish with papaya
- Alfajores – melt in the mouth shortbread cookies filled with dulce de leche.
You will end the session with a meal of the food prepare. We will also offer a 3 x 50 ml glasses of a South American wine selection (or a glass of one of the three).
