Many of us now live alone but as food culture has evolved around family cooking food as a singleton often leads to food waste, a limited repertoire of home-cooked meals and an over-reliance on processed food. The aim of this class is to show you how to prepare nourishing, tasty recipes for one.
We will also discuss purchasing food. It’s possible to avoid the weekly supermarket shop and discover local specialist shops and markets. We will also discuss storage and reducing food waste.
Sample recipes for this session include:
- Goan fish curry with rice
- Roasted vegetables with halloumi and a lemon/caper dressing
- Roasted cauliflower with chorizo/green olives and parsley.
Recipes can be adapted for vegetarians. Please leave a note when booking.
A final meal of the food prepared will be accompanied by a glass of wine. Refreshments are served on arrival.
